NEW CLIENT ONBOARDING
How do I become a client?
You will need to complete the Business Intake Form and/or the Individual Intake Form as a first step. Once you submit the completed form(s), please schedule an Introduction Meeting.
-
What is the purpose of scheduling an introduction meeting? The introduction meeting is a free 15–45-minute meeting that allows the opportunity to get to know each other. You can get a feel for us and how we work with our clients. Also, we can get a feel for you/your business and your needs. Make sure to bring all your questions or concerns to that first meeting. The more information you provide us on the new client intake form(s), the more we can provide you in our initial meeting.
-
I am not confident that my previous tax return was done correctly or that I left deductions on the table. Will you review those tax returns to address these doubts?Of course. Our onboarding process requests, at minimum, copies of your prior 2 tax returns before our introductory meeting. This allows us to analyze your return and familiarize ourselves with you/your business before we even meet. We will let you know if there are any red flags or missed opportunities and discuss your options.
-
Do I need to come into your office to sign documents and pick up my tax return? Not at all! Our entire process can be done in the comfort of your home. All documents (tax documents, tax returns, engagement letters, IRS correspondence, etc.) are saved to your secure portal, accessible at any time. You also have the comfort of uploading your documents to your personal secure portal and electronically signing most documents.
-
What are your fees? Our fees range based on the scope of the engagement. Our services are priced specifically to and for you. After our initial introductory meeting, we will reach out to you via email with our fee proposal. Once you approve our services, you will be able to create your client portal and sign your engagement letter.
-
Do you prepare tax returns in-person, like the brick-and-mortar tax preparation firms? No, we do not. The tax returns we prepare for clients have too much at stake to do all in one sitting. We prepare your returns thoughtfully and carefully, review them for quality and accuracy, and then evaluate them strategically to make sure you are getting the best result possible.
